- Our Story -

It all began in 1990 with one man and a dream.

Frank Sclafani Sr., a native of Montemaggiore Belsito, Sicily - a very small and old town located in the beautiful island of Sicily, Italy - had one goal: the American dream. He wanted his family to live in America, the land of opportunity; he wanted to give them something of their own all while never forgetting their roots. He moved the whole family: Maria (his wife), and 4 children, Frank Jr., Joseph, Rosetta, and Josephine to Buffalo, NY and opened up Frank's Sunny Italy. At the time, the building was small - only one small dining room and kitchen, but the customers kept coming. Soon after, the business flourished. Now, the restaurant has a main large dining room for up to 100 people, a side banquet room for up to 40 people, and a new bar as the focal point on the way in. Frank Sr.'s two sons, Frank Jr. and Joe now run the business with the rest of their family by their side. They don't call us a family business for nothing!
